You mentioned what program you are using in your first post didn't you? I will have to go back and look. I was looking at your last update and wondering what other kinda neat stuff you can do.

Went back and read that. Might have to look into that. See if I can have any fun with it.

I have not heard of Rhinoceros 4. You mentioned cartoon. Is the software used for visual arts or industrial applications?

I use Solidworks 3D modeling software.

Is the YJ one part or an assembly?

Do you give the different materials properties?

With defined properties will you be able to simulate stress? Make it flex?

Just the renderer I am using is more of a cartoon style.. Rhino is more of an industrial type of modeling software.. basically meant to design stationary objects..

The model itself is many surfaces and each can be given different properties. With how Rhino works you would have to either export the file into another program meant more for visual arts to do stress flexing and things of that nature or redesign the model to make it look like its flexing..

I would looove to have that file! Can I get that to transfer into Solidworks or Inventor?

I do 3D modeling as a full time job! But I am not sure how Rhinocerus files can be transferred, I onlt know Inventor and Solidworks

depends on what files solidworks and inventor can open

where do you work at? just curious..

i got into 3d modeling sorta as a hobby.. started messing with rhino in its very first beta back when i was in 5th grade, which was probably back in 1995/96, just been messing with it since.. lately i've sorta lost interest in this project, my laptops harddrives are crapping out on me, i should still have the file though i'll need to look for it, and reinstall rhino..

if you could make this so that you can simulate stress, and test build designs, and materials and such people would pay for the file...

Haha I've had offers from people on the forum to buy or trade for it..

As far as stress simulation.. while that would be cool but I don't know what software one would even use.. plus most jeep stuff is typically tested real world by people with deep pockets lol.

When you gonna finish this beeatch? What now that you have work to do on your real live jeep, you let your digital one fall on the wayside? For shame.
