YJ completed

I unbuilt my YJ to rebuild it. Here it goes.

Before.

And after.

Here is what I had to do.

Rebuild custom made boom box for the sound system.

Here is the result.

It is completely removable if I want to go off road or wash it.

Removed the top.

Gave it a lift. (wheels travel 14" now)

( second part)

Put some steal brake lines.

Fitted Dana 44 diff

New fiberglass half doors. ( saved at lest 100 kg with those)

Carbon fiber and leather seat ( to make it easy to wash)

Fitted a smaller MOMO steering wheel to have more control.

And here is the result.

I am very happy with the result.

I placed second in my first off road competition.

Looked great but it was 500KG heavier so it didn't do very well off road.
Guns are illegal here in Taiwan

Actually some of the guys are going crazy building their Jeep from scratch.
They use the Jeep frame but they use F350 engine with Volvo Dana 60 axles. I'll post some pics for you. I don't compete in the same class as them because my Jeep is still road worthy and legal to drive on it ( not really but it looks road worthy )

At the las meet, we were over 60 off road vehicles. A lot of people are wheeling. Not bad for a marginal activity in Taiwan.

If my math is right that's a little over 1100lbs. That's a lot of extra weight!
Yeah. I don't think the guns would go over too well here either

I stuck with the same ones as I am only using my Jeep off road. Made no sense to buy nice rims.
Thanks for asking.

Yes, I was thinking of swapping my 6 4l for a 5l V8 at that time. Since I made all these modifications,, I am not thinking of that anymore. The 6L has enough power with all this weight cut down.
