6foot bull shark. biggest one I've actually managed to bring in so far. I've hooked some monsters but getting them out of the water is a different story.

summer time the sharks come in close to shore to feed on the bait fish so every saturday night my friends and I would go to the beach with the grill and a cooler filled with beer. One of us would use a kayak to paddle the bait out with a kayak while the other one would keep tension on the line so it wouldnt tangle.

some nights action came fast and others took a while, but thats what the beer and bbq grill was for. Most of the sharks we caught were blacktips and spinners, with some smaller bulls. This shark was a bull that was just at 6 feet long and weighed just over 300 pounds(took it to a cargo scale at work). took us 4 hours to haul it in.

This is the only other one I have and its the same fish. I don't bring phones or cameras with me as the sand and salt gunks everything up.

Buy a couple of disposables. They'll work decent for a couple of beach trips and you won't have to worry about ruining them.

I've caught a few sharks but nothing like that and nothing from the shore. Sounds like a blast.

My prize catch, I caught it in a public lake in December on a rare warm day. I didn't have a scale or a tape measure then but I'm going to the same lake tomorrow to pay him a visit, I hope. I always catch and release, I'm much more proud to have a picture of this bass rather than having it on the wall. Happy fishing!

Did a little night fishing on Saturday. Fished from 8:30-3:00am. Caught about a dozen striped bass and a cat.

Here's Matt with his biggest of the night (18"):

And here's a beefy one I landed (19.5" long). It looked like it was a beer drinker...

Where I fish, baiting a hook is a PITA. I lost three pollywogs in about 30 minutes one day before landing a small "keeper."

Try exiting a cave through a sinkhole and doing 4.5 hours of deco under a 10 foot momma gator...
