No, that is southern Utah, just south of Minersville. We have an all time record snow pack in the mountains this year. The picture was taken at 6500 feet elevation, at 10,000 feet elevation the snow is over 10 feet deep. It will be August before the highest passes are open.

Took a drive up on the mountain today to see for myself how deep the snowpack is. These pictures are from today, 4/10/11, near Duck Creek Village, UT. The daytime temperature when I was there, at 1 PM, was 24 degrees. This snow hasn't even started to melt yet.

The end of a week of storms in the Sierras. Our cabin is at 5,000 feet. The day we arrived to check things out. Everybody standing in a wall of snow where our driveway is.

The top of the cabin is about 31' above ground

Hired a Bucket Loader to clear our driveway so we could park the Jeep off the road and shovel our way into the cabin

Many BIG loads!

Parked the Jeep in the driveway and shoveled and used the snow blower to blow the snow back to the driveway!

Looking out from the front door of the cabin. TV satellite was buried under 3' of snow and needless to say it didn't work after shoveling it out! My wife's reaction =

The end of a busy day!

The State of California called this winter snow season the heaviest since 1951! I believe it!!!

I know, I know. Can't see much of the Jeep but it's in there. Snow fell at a rate of an inch an hour on Feb 22nd for 9 hours. Just started snowing when I got to work and this is what I came out to after my shift.
