My tow rig:

Never towed the Wrangler before but I do tow that boat with my TJ. The big boat and other heavier loads get hooked up to one of the shop trucks.

has anybody ever seen a xterra tow a wrangler? I'm kinda nervous about putting the weight on it seeing as how I just bought the damn thing. I got the 2012 pro-4x with the towing capability of 5000 lbs. Would it be better to put on tow dolly and just pull the front drive shaft (having the back wheels on the dolly ) or do we think the X could handle all the weight of a full size trailer?

I used to work for uhaul and a full size car trailer weights about as much as a tj does you might be ok or another option you can look into is getting one if this hitch revivers that would mount to the frame or the number like you see when people with the huge rvs use to tow their tjs

I used to tow my 92 XJ with a 2006 Frontier, same motor and a friend tows his XJ with an 05 XOR same as the new Pro4x. they tow well and stop well. get a good trailer with good brakes and you'll be alright. you wont set any speed records but you'll be able to roll at 60 with out much issue

old rig, old truck and friends featherlight

(not my frontier was not stock good amount of work done to the motor PM me if you have more questions)

Sweet! I got a popup camper for my rig. (not as much truck as you, lol!)

I love camper rigs! You really get the most out of it.
