Hey doesn't Montana have "retired" missile silos for sale there? That could make for a GREAT hold out... plenty defensible...

Would be better if they had an ammo mfg plant close by. I would hold them off from there.

The only thing about a hatchet or any bladed weapon for that matter, is that makes your "attacker" that much closer to you, which increases the likely hood that you will get over run, aka bitten. Not to mention it takes a lot of energy to swing those, and the human body, without any drug, can only produce a certain amount of energy... Good to have as a back up though... a last ditch weapon.

What about the super secret base built in or under a mountain in Colorado or something. You've seen Team America right?

NORAD would definitely be the ideal place to setup shop

Well if they don't I'm sure we can go as service repair men or something like that to sneak in. It always works in the movies.

I thought it was Pest Exterminators that worked the best for sneaking in.

On a side note, I think that would be totally bad ass to build an Ecto-1A replica. I liked the first Ecto-1... but I really like the Ecto-1A better. Need to put the body of the old caddy ambulance onto a 4wheel drive Suburban frame to make it off road capable.

Nice piece of hardware ya got there. My XDm does not have a sound suppressor, so when I shoot mine, I'll end up waking the dead. LOL

I think that depends on the state, because I believe some states have them outlawed. But I could be wrong there. I know my XDm does NOT have a threaded barrel, so I am kinda screwed anyways lol

Suppressors are a lot of paperwork. Have to get a tax stamp from the ATF, laws vary by state. Threaded barrels are the easiest part of the equation. If your serious about it start looking on the Internet. Takes a couple of months. I have a friend that has a few, he's always bitching about the wait, hassle, and paperwork. It's about the same as buying automatic weapons or owning a rifle with a barrel under 16 inches. Besides, unless your getting one for a .22 they're still loud enough to wear earplugs. ( generally ) Not like the movies. Also, you can forget about potatoes, pop bottles, pillows, and silencing a revolver. All movie BS. I know he complains he isn't allowed to take them out of state. The one he has for his S&W semi auto .22 is impressive. All you can hear is the action clink then the hit. The one he has for his H&K .40 semi auto makes it sound like an unsilenced .22. He's applying now for a silencer for his Siaga 12 gauge. Interested to see how that turns out.

I have a buddy with a suppressed bolt action .22 rifle. That thing is BA. It sounds like unhooking an air hose from a compressor.

I hate to change the topic from guns to movies ( love em both ), but I don't think I saw anyone mention " The Crazies" yet. I think it's a great movie. Some might argue that they aren't zombies, I'd argue how can you tell? Still a great movie.
