Just ordered my decals today! And with my 1911, Glock 27, Taurus PT709 and PT22, and Walther PPKS I'm ready to LOCK AND LOAD!

I have the Para Ordnance LDA model. I'd really love to have a Kimber Ultra Carry but if I had $1100 to spare it would go into the jeep not padding my gun collection haha. There's a Mossberg 500 Breacher I've had my eye on though. They only want $321 for it.

I'd like to strap a mossberg 500 pistol grip to my spreader behind my head just in case.

2 problems I see. I don't have a 500 and in my state I think that might be illegal.

I think usually as long as its in plain sight and unloaded it's legal. I have a CPL though so maybe you could do it if you got one of those. eBay sells Velcro straps for jeeps that would probably work like a charm.

Font you miss the old days when you could sling a shotty or rifle across the rear window of your truck. That guy never got tailgated.

No joke. High school kids here used to go to school with shotties in their gun rack and nobody gave it a second look.

Thanks to current gov. Leaders. It's illegal to display firearms in public.

With the current state of the world, why would you want open carry. People will constantly call the police on you. You getting stopped by the police constantly. People seeing you weapon and willingly challenging you. Definetly not worth it.

Yep I'm not endorsing it but it is most definitely legal.

I actually carry about 99% of the time other than when I go to work. Plus if they call the cops you just show them your permit. I've gotten changed at the gym right next to a cop which included taking my gun off and putting it in my locker.

Which is fine. Happens everyday. But you don't want to be that one example of it going wrong. It happens so fast. Reaching for your license is a concern for me as I'm not able to see your hands. I'm totally for the constitution, served in the Army and now a cop for over 10 years but simple situations have a way of going to crap fast. I don't see the point of having my firearm on display for the world to see. Don't know if someone talking to you is distracting you to get it or so on. And do you really want the hassle of getting stopped by the cops constantly.

Not particularly but since I respect the police (I even tried to become one) I'm not above giving them the respect of putting them at ease by showing my license. That's also why I got the permit so it's not advertised to the world. I'm glad to hear you're for the constitution. I think the way they're trying to alter the bill of rights to support personal beliefs is sleezy as hell.

Didnt mean it like that. I'm more towards personal safety. NY doesn't have an open carry law. It's also hard to get a fully carry in the southern part of the state. Where I work, if I see someone with a gun on their hip I think cop or suspect. Chances are I know the cop ( and said weapon is in a holster) so no reason to have it open. But I do agree with you but unfortunately now when people cry things have to change. Sorry for hijacking the zombie thread.

Guns and their availability are directly related to zombies. No worries. I was lurking on the convo anyways. I kinda want to be a cop (20 yrs old) and like hearing experience stories.

Havnt learned ALL the laws for Texas yet cuz I'm not 21. I'll figure it out when I buy myself a 1911.

It's not like vampires. You can't kill the head one and make everything ok. ;-)

I'm on the mend so I appear to carry the antibodies but I like zombies so I'm not sharing.
