The game, the attraction or the preparation for a zombie Apocalypse?
1. The game: it's just fun.
2. The attraction: Zombies are the coolest/scariest of the pop culture monsters.
Vampires and werewolves have nothing on them. Zombies don't single out prey and they would not be an isolated incident. They would spread world wide and destroy life as we know it.
3. Preparation for a zombie Apocalypse: Why not? It is THE
worse case scenario. If you are prepared to survive a zombie Apocalypse, anything else would be a walk in the park.
Lastly, if you think about it, of all the horrible monster/alien scenario movies and books... what is the most likely to really happen? Werewolves? Vampires? Alien attack (possibly, may be a close second), 50 foot lizard monsters.... or something similar to a zombie Apocalypse?
I would say that a super virus that causes people to go insane and feel fits of rage causing them to turn on each other and attack is not totally out of the question. It may not be zombie's in the "true" sense of the word, but close enough.
Good read, you should pick up a copy.
