There is a place working on coming on line here in IN this coming year.....privately owned but it is well known.

They are looking at a "members only" type of thing..and not going to extreme. Invitation only for members...around here there would be people standing in line if it was an "open park"...they won't make as much money...but that isn't why they are doing it. Just good people that want to have fellow Jeepers/ Campers/ Hikers? Shootists/ Kayakers etc. around.....we are lucky!!

that is what im wanting to do here in ky, of course the wf members would get a great deal, im thinking daily tickets to season passes, i dont want to charge an arm and leg , the money would go into bettering this playground and it would just be a great place that people dont have to worry about closed gates and lost properties that they cant wheel anymore, this would be a place that you could bring the family and not worry about there safety and them not haveing a great time, i also have great deer and turkey hunting here, also want to build a track for kids and there atv,s, minnie golf , a pool, and fishing lake. were also vey close to carter cave,s state park, cave run(muskie capital in the usa) grayson lake, so plenty of places to go besides off roading if you want a break from the action,

i have some great ideas for the campers and hikers, i also have a nice shooting range that i want to start up a turkey shoot, i havent seen those in a while would be alot of fun..--and a whole lot more ideas, any help would be greatful, i just need for the wife to see that people would come to a place like this to get a clean go ahead,,and get this going..

thanks for any help

An insurance company is not going to like having firearms where there will be hiking and offroad vehicles. The risk is just to much. You have some great ideas but you can't let human nature be forgotten. You could have it clearly marked and still someone will wonder to close to the shooting range. A hundred acres fills up fast so don't try to have to much going on. Keep it simple. If your going to have a lake for fishing why do you need a swimming pool. Good luck and keep us updated.

100 acres is not a large area. a good friend of mine has about the same amount of land and really can't take many more then 10 rigs at a time. Its great wheeling and a lot more fun that bigger places but don't expect to have large events or more then a dozen rigs at any one time.

have seen more than 100 rigs in less than 50 acres but granted there were "Traffic Cops" directing traffic like crazy, but it was a lot of fun watching other people pick their lines and than trying to pick the right one for yourself. Good oppourtunity to learn from others mistakes and also see what worked.

The place I spoke of before...had in mind of being one thing at a time. If it was a wheeling weekend...wheeling only. If it was a shooting weekend shooting only. Could mix up the hiking / Kayaking and camping weekends though.

Sounds like a fun idea. We have an off road park within an hour of my house. Daily rates are: $10 for a Jeep/ driver; $15 for a Jeep w/ driver +. It's about 150 acres, with like 12 miles of trails cut through.

the jeep (off road course) is 100 of my acres, the shooting range is 1 mile away on another part of my land, the lake would be accross from the camp ground while the pool and playground would be in the campground,,--i actually have a few hundred acre,s to play with...
