Land Use & the "Ride Along"

Concerned about trail closures in your neck of the woods? Then check out Del Albright's article about challenging your local congressman to join on a trail ride:

WOW! What a great idea!
I'll pass this along to the folks I know out there.

Del is the man.

I will also add that I recommend extending that "ride along" opportunity out to Field Managers and District Rangers as well, since many (not all) may not be aware of the conditions and stewardship efforts on the trails in their area. Recreation can easily be overlooked in many areas, unfortunately.

I personally have even gone to non-motorized groups and taken some of their higher-ups out. Talk about a great way to open up the dialogue about responsible use and the efforts the OHV community does towards maintaining sustainable access.
