New spot in michigan.

So while out and about on some errands today. I found a cool new spot in the metro Detroit area. On a road called red run road off 14 mile road, just west of Schoenner. This place is sweet. It is near the Edison power lines, but not on the property itself you guys should check it out

You know I'm not sure. I really hope it's legal because it really is fun to just go bomb around in. I can tell you that there were at least 5 other jeeps out there with me. The only thing is that there is only path back there and it is a somewhat deep 2 track I got hung up on my way back but managed to get out with a little wiggling of the front wheels. In my opinion it's worth it. Not as good as the mounds, but really worth not having to drive an hour and a half (for me)

I'll have to check it out. I don't know if you've ever been to Bundy hill but it sounds like we got a few jeepers going down February 9th. We haven't set a time yet I plan on getting down there in the morning. Your more than welcome to join us. If the mounds is a hour and a half then bundy will be about the same. I'm in south Lyon and it takes just about a hour to get there.

Haha that's not gonna happen. I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled the day before. Off roading probably isn't a good way to recover when I don't even know where I am at home LOL

Understand. All though you could provide some entertainment for the rest of us. Lol I'm sure there'll be plenty of other opportunities to do some wheeling.

Too bad you guys aren't farther north. I'm up by the Big Rapids area, and there are a few places to play within an hour or so from here. I've got Silver Lake and a nice private park called Twisted Trails. If you ever go to the dunes, make sure to stay the night, and go to Twisted Trails on the way home. It's a great time.

They really have a bit of everything. Rocks, mud, light trails. They have rated trails, some are for anyone, then they get harder, until they say you need lockers and a winch to even go on them. It was the first time I had ever done anything like that, so I'm guessing it isn't super hardcore, but it was fun. We just went up with about 10 guys and had fun and explored all day.

How big is the place? Have you been to the mounds? It's in genesee mi. Pretty much all mud. Don't like it that much. Are there lots of rock gardens? Huge boulders? Mild enough for a stocker to have fun?

There's the website. I couldn't find how big it was, and I forgot what my buddy said. But it's good size. There are quite a few rocks. I went with 33s and a 2.5" lift and no lockers and had a lot of fun. There will be a few things a stocker can't do, but you can still do a bit and have fun. And I haven't been to the Mounds, but I've heard a bit about it.
