if that helps any

Thanks raif281, just clicked request to join Jeeplife group. My JK (Willys Edition) should arrive in a few weeks - just went into framing yesterday. Your suggestion of driving up & down spillway roads & staying off trails sounds like exactly what I'm looking for to start off - dirt roads & some minor mud but nothing a rookie would get stuck in or scratch his new paint. Thanks a million for the tip.

if anybody is looking for a place to go mud riding in the south my buddy is hosting a car show/ mud show. it will be April 26th in kiln, Mississippi at Texas flat off road. there's an asphalt parking lot for show cars an trucks an lots of mud pits, sand bars and trails to ride on, there is a river that borders the property. family oriented so bring the whole family out! feel free to bring your atv, side by side, mud truck or jeep out here! here is a link to the event on Facebook

and here is a link to my group on Facebook called jeeplife if anyone is interested in joining, talk all things jeep like a forum but you get notifications and quicker responses.

I read up on that jeep ride, I would go but it cost $205 per adult to go ride so I'm gonna pass. also if you have a Facebook go check out my group called Jeeplife.
Thanks again for the scoop on the spillway raif281. I got over there yesterday in my new Jeep and it was perfect for my first time 4-wheelin. I pretty much stayed on the main dirt road & it was drier than I expected, but I'm sure if you go after a good rain or venture off the main road it gets a lot muddier.

I plan to head out there once a month or so - if you see a red 2-dr with "Willys" on the hood that's gotta be me, so be sure to flag me down & say hi.
