Awesome! Thanks for the info, I wasn't aware that Corps of Engineers permitted off road vehicles to the area. Yeah I have been to the Port Barre and Opelousas many times and its only a little over an hour drive from Lake Charles, La. Their website said they have ORV trails in Bayou Des Ourses and Indian Bayou. Have you been to either place?

Have you guys gotten more information on the Kisatchie trails? I live in Lake Charles as well though I will be moving in the future to Austin.

The Kisatchie Rapides District are discussing opening up a couple old service trails that could possibly be used but nothing has been finalized yet from the info that they gave me. As soon as I hear something new I will be sure to let you know.

I am a new Jeep owner and haven't been off road yet (probably never will), but i did join the Nola 4x4 group on Facebook. I would suggest you guys who are looking to meet up with other Jeep enthusiasts to check it out. Based off what i've seen the last few weeks since i joined their FB group, they seem to have quite a few guys who post info about going out on trails.

that is a good place but I find they don't get on too much, I posted a week ago about info about a lift and got about 4 responses just saying don't get that one, get in contact with such and such place to order one....
