Bald Mountain Trail off of the Skyline Drive is a good one. Takes about 3 hours to do.

Invert! We still gotta go wheeling sometime... our idea for going over Winter Break didn't work out so well haha. I was pretty busy, but I just got a 0 degree sleeping bag and a tent for Christmas so I'm down to go whenever you are. Anyone else interested?

It's legal as long as you stay on the "easy" trails. If there is an off shoot that looks hard and rocky it's probably because the NFS didn't put it there and the tickets run about $300. The trails probably closed right now but it might not be since it hasn't snowed yet. They usually shut it down in the winter. Sorry it took me so long to get back. For some reason I forgot to subscribe to this one

Sorry this is an old page but is bald mountain safe to do on a stock Jeep?i don't have any friends with 4wd or own a winch.so I'd be going alone.don't wanna risk getting in over my head and getting stuck. I just have some 30s that are pretty aggressive. Thanks!

I'd be interested too. I live in Fairfax Station. I would have to go next time due to my steering column is in about 30 pieces in the middle of a rebuild.
