Where to Wheel?

Next summer I will have the opportunity to have 2 weeks off from work and expenses, up to ~5K, covered for a two person vacation. I want to hit some great trails but dont know where to begin. any good cross country routes i can take to maximize the number of off-road places? I live in DC and can go virtually anywhere- east to west, north to south, it doesnt matter to me.

I definitely want to get some camping in, but dont mind stop overs in hotels either.

Check out Rausch Creek in Tremont, PA. Rausch Creek Off Road Park. It's not too far away from DC.

I would say yoyo need to head west. Hit Colorado, then head over to Moab. I am sur there are some place to hit in between Colorado and DC as well. It sounds like you have a great trip to schedule. Have fun.
