4.3 vortec swap

Im about to start a build on my 97 TJ. Going with a 2001 4.3 vortec and 1 ton axles. Any helpful tips would be appreciated.

Sounds like a lot of work for not much of an improvement (if any) in power, mileage, reliability, etc.
The 4.3 is a good engine, but I'd rather have the 4.0 personally.
That said, the 4.3 is basically just a 350 missing 2 cylinders. There are performance parts out there for them. For the time and hassle, why not just do a 350?

The 4.3 will be a HUGE improvement! My 2.5 is struggling in every category. The main reason im going with this motor is because of the sweet deal I got on it!

I'm still wheelin it at the moment with my locked stock axles and 4cyl. Gathering all my parts and hardware before I start the build. I don't want to tear it down just yet, that way I won't be out of commission for too long! I will take detailed pics though.
