Has anyone run a jeep offroad with a 4.7 liter High output Engine? What were the results?

I have seen they are very expensive used, and not known for super longevity. Im looking into 4.0 swap or 5.7 chevy V8 swap for our 95 Yj. I like the 4.7's, but would not consider for the above reasons....

I am waiting on the last few parts to put my new 4.6 stroker in my '88 YJ. I am a bit over $2000 in it including some extra stuff. If you are interested I can share more, and I can report back with my thoughts after it's broken in etc.

Unless you are getting the 4.7 for free there are many better options. I don't have first hand experience with the 4.7 but have not heard good things. The Chrysler 5.2 and 5.9 run forever and chevy engines are fairly easy swaps. I can't recommend ford just cause it doesn't feel right.
