4" lift.. Need help.

I bought 4" lift leaf springs for my 92 yj, I've been reading the slip yoke eliminator longer brake lines etc isn't needed... Some may argue, won't ever know for sure. Haha but could I say ride without new shocks for a week or so until I can afford em?

I have a feeling this will get taken out of the 'build' section and put into the YJ section.

I am a TJ guy so can't actually give you the specifics but....yeah a SYE is needed along with a CV driveshaft unless you are going to do a transfer case drop because without this the angle on your driveshaft will be too steep for the U joint to deal with. This causes major driveline vibrations

Have a look here Pirate4x4.Com - Extreme Four Wheel Drive

And extended brakelines are needed unless you want to roll without brakes becaue you ripped your brakelines loose.

And I would wait the week until you can afford them and install all in one. Driving round with mismatched suspension parts is a recipe for disaster

The RC 4" lift "Kit" comes with the break line relocation bracket, bump stop extensions, sway bar & track bar ext. longer shock's and a transmission drop, and a angle wedge for the driveshaft to change the pitch. you wont need a SYE untill you exceed a 4" lift. like adding a shackle lift too.

I had a 4" rough country on my old YJ, no problems with driveshafts. If you are going from stock height to 4" lift, old shocks aren't going to do any good even as a temporary fix. Just wait for shocks and do it all at once.

So no problem at all? Just leaf spring and new shocks and good to go?
