550 chord, duct tape, etc...

hey, lets see some home made low budget fixes. I know you guys have'm. Lets show off out Duct Tape, 550/parachute chord, etc expertise. I'll have to go outside and take a pic of my door straps. Think this one would help a lot of you.

I'm a firm believer all jeeps should carry 550 chord along side their roll of duct tape and torx bits. 50 or 100 feet cost about $10.00 and can be found in any military surplus/supply store/catalog if you're not familiar.

I dont have any pics but I have used 550 cord to hold up my swaybar after disconnecting.
Also used it to hold my 4wd linkage together.

i use 550 for everything, there is an eight strand version if you're not aware that is stiffer but obviously stronger. Different manufacturers offer different "types" ie a type3 is stiffer than a type 1. I love the stuff.

I've got a couple of 500' spools of 550 cord in my garage. I used to use it for everything, now the spools just collect dust on a shelf....

I'm sure EVERY member of the military on the forum has tons of it.....
