7" fender flares

1994 yj, just bought 7" fender flares and cannot figure out how to take the stock ones off! I believe a have found the screws that go through backed by "rivet looking base". The back side or base just spins. I cannot keep it from spinning no matter what I use? This cannot be this freakin hard! Any suggestions? Any pics?

I just grabbed the back side with pliers and held on. You can do it.

^This^ Use a set of channel locks to get a good grip and you'll be able to back the screws out of the nutserts...
