well... i bought the jeep for $4300, it needed some tuning up, probably set me back another $800ish, i got the hardtop for $250, the doors for $120, probably $80 to fix both up into decent order, $25 for the backseat, $10 for the brackets, about $100 for prep and bedliner, i got the TJ mirrors for free, seat covers where like $20, the hood decals where $50 (they make it go faster...) the metal, which was 21' of 2" square tubing, 21' of 1" tubing, 21' of 1.25" tubing, and a sheet of 11guage sheet metal that was 4'x8' was about $200, give or take, the pins for the hinges that im making where 10$ apiece, my tow hooks where $45, the top was $70, the tail light guards where $35, the entry guards where $15, the light bar on the hood was $10 for the main bar, and then we made the other brackets, and the lights in total where $80 i believe, the TJ flares where free, and most recently, my brake parts and motor mounts which i ended up ordering tonight where a combined total of $100ish. im sure i left some stuff out, this is all i can think of at the moment

and as of right now im not sure how far i will go with this jeep.. its my first one so im just trying to learn how to "jeep" pretty much, so this is more or less my test jeep

Wish I had the cash to do all this stuff. It's tough being on a college budget

Looks great tho, seems like you know what your doing. How much was the Jeep already lifted when you got it?

$4300, the tires where brand new, and the lift was in good shape, and both the engine and tranny had just been put in. id like to say it has a new drive shaft as well this summer im probably gonna replace all the shocks, and U joints, and hopefully do the axle swap

Gotcha. It's kinda nice not having to get a lift plus it already had brand new 33's(?). Allows you to put that money towards the "details" that'll make your jeep a beast

exactly... at this point i wish i had gone with one with a 6cyl, because this one is only four but ill take what i can get.

update: brake adjusters, hardware kit, and brake cylinders all came in today, hopefully getting the motor and tranny mounts sometime next week, then ill hoble it over to my friend's house, and we will get it back into running condition!

so we swapped the engine mounts out, the drivers side was shattered. i can post pictures later once everything is finished. the transmission mount was was in about 3o pieces, and no longer attached to the skid plate. again i will get pictures later on. lastly when doing the brakes all the brake lines were corroded so im replacing those, along with the brake pads, and brake cylinders, and all of the hardware inside. having to stop for the day because i have to go to work, but i will resume at some point tomorrow

Picked up the cb radios today, I'll put a pic up when I get on my computer. I have gotten lucky with deals hahaha
Gonna try to work on armor tommorow, if all goes well. And thanks! It's coming along. As of now by the end of summer if like to have a winch, 8.8, 4.88s, and 35s but well see

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, college and work is keeping me really busy. As far as the cb bracket, just make sure you mount it where no one will bang their heads when it gets rocky and you're bouncing along. A lot of people have had to remount because of that.

Thanks guys, and I'm actually drawing up plans for one I'm gonna fab soon. In gonna do it with 1" tubing, and have it above the mirror. I'm just not sure what I'm gonna use for brackets to attach to the role cage... Probably gonna take a trip to home depot and see if they have any sollutions...

so last night i went to a party, and me and my friend (who also has a jeep) went for a night ride on these 4 wheeler trails and found some mud

it was pretty awesome hahaha but today my transmission was making a grinding sound again so im not sure what i did... im going to have it looked at pretty soon, and if its bad im going to go try to get a hold of an ax15

so i found out today one of my motor mounts wasn't attached to the frame, which i replaced, but my transmission is still making funny noises so i think im going to have to have that looked at/replaced...

I noticed that tubeing bender you were using.. It looks very similar to the harbor freight bender. Does it actully work? Cuz I bought one and it just kinks tubeing

I bent my stinger, the stinger-looking piece on my spare tire carrier, and my side steps with it, and it was thickish metal so yeah it bends... I can find the brand if you want it?
