Any suggestions how to fix door stop?

The screws that hold my bracket (on actual door, not body of jeep) broke. The invisible part of screw/backing is stuck inside door. Door is swinging in the wind!
Could I cut off the remaining portion of each screw and reattach bracket using push rivets?

I took mine to a bunch of auto body shops until I found one that said they could fix it. They extracted the broken screw and put a new one in the same size. No damage done. I was expecting to pay about $20-$40 dollars, although it only took about 20 minutes. The owner actually became a good friend of mine because he didn't charge me at all for it. This is how mine looks now. I upgraded the door strap, put new screws on both sides, and covered the brackets and body corners with clear tubing to keep the strap clean. This is how it looks six months later.

Thanks everyone! I actually just tapped the rest of the broken screw into the body of the door. Then used 2 self-tapping screws (size12) to reattach door bracket. Seems to be holding well.
