Post SEMA Audio System Mods

Because of the tight time constraints we were under to get the vehicle out the door for the show I had ended up putting the subs in the rear (behind the seat) and I wasn't happy with that........SO, while the electric motor testing continues (and the J.Wagen is resting) I decided to go ahead and make some improvements to the audio system installation. Since one of our biggest sponsors was Scosche Audio, we really wanted to make a statement with their product.

I also wanted to maintain the storage space behind the rear seat and keep the Jeeps utilitarian function back there.

In case anyone is wondering....the seats still recline and 2 people still sit comfortably in the rear seat. The rear seat is still removable as well.

That's a great idea for a sound bar over the rear seat. Are those 6x9 that will go there?

We drilled mounting holes in the roll bar and threaded them and now it's a removable bolt on speaker bar!

Neat jeep. Not my personal likings but can't deny good craftsmanship..(craft-wonmanship). Lots of things I liked but some I would personally improve on. The air tank in front. Although well protected. Seems like it would drastically hinder yourself offroad. I'd like to see your doors opening I saw some first pics that seemed to lift out and up and would like to see that finished.

Very cool build. I look forward to keeping up with it. I stripped all the decals off my wife's JKU when we got it. She likes the "squareness" of the g-wagens which was probably part of the draw to the JKU. I made a J-Wagen decal in etched vinyl I just haven't decided to put anything back on it.

Wow, it looks pretty stout. Too pretty of a Jeep for me, I overall really like it.

A lot of people stated earlier about the wheels, I have to agree, I don't really like them personally, but they don't look bad on that rig.

Wheels are the only thing "I" don't like on your Jeep. Looks cool.

Ok, so let's hear more about the electric motor. When will it be for sale to the public and what will the cost be? Any idea how many cycles the batteries are good for? Grreat looking Jeep, really awesome job!

Wow, this project started with so much potential, but the SEMA pics and now the UFO speaker pods prove it's slowly turning into rice. The lexani rims were the first tip off. Then another hint that offroading was not your thing was that you wanted MOOOOORE POWEERRRRRRRR from an electric motor for going through MUD! (Just watch any mudding video, people get a lot of wheelspin and dont move an inch even with older jeeps, so how will more power help??). I dont want to come off mean, but seems you got off track trying to make it look interesting for the car show. The front bumper and grill just dont work, and the painted fenders and side steps i wont even begin to mention. But back on track, I was really interested in the mechanical side of this project, especially the air suspension. I hope your focus shifts back to the practical, the jeep can still be very cool

This is the first time I have seen this thread even though it is well over a year old. This Jeep creation was interesting to say the least, not for me by any means, but interesting. Lot's of $ spent in places that I would not consider but then again this thing is most likely never going to see any type of dirt.

I honestly cannot believe the shallow, self centered, a**holedness in some of these comments. Who the heck do some of you think you are, to pass judgement on a person or their creativity.
This person put her thread up to share with others, not to make sure that she made some of you happy with her build.
you know what,, I tore my carpet out of my rubicon, so i had somewhere to spit my dip in case i dont have a cup. I pinstripe the crap out of my paint on trails. I leave the mud on my wrangler days after i went to the trail...... and I love my jeep the same way she loves hers.

There is a thin line between criticism....... and constructive criticism. some people that pushed their beliefs, instead of offering their opinions/constructive criticism, you people, are simply pricks
