axle swap

I broke the the pinion gear in the rear end of my yj and now I'm looking to beef the axles up it has a 350 not sure what trans what trans any thoughts on what I should put in it???

Depends what you want to do with it, but a good swap would be a rear Ford 8.8 from a 1995 to approx 2001 Explorer.It will have 31 spline axle shafts and disc brakes. Good swap can handle v8 power.

What side drop is the pumpkin? If it has the chevy drivetrain a ford 8.8 would be too much work. Chevy t-case is a passanger side drop, where as the ford t-case is driver side. Corporate 14 bolt would be great!
