ball joint vs heims

I finally fried my drag link. Its clunking around like crazy.

Ive seen a drag link built out of heims and it looks pretty good.
what is the disadvantage of this vs doing a factory replacement style?

its this or doing the RHD draglink high steer flip but and piecing it together.
either way im going to a high steer setup.

Heim joints will be stronger and the only thing is that i will probably feel a little more vibration in your steering wheel. Ball joints tend to have a little bit of a cushioning affect to where with heims you will have a more positive feel of the road.

the only real draw back to heims is they are open to the elements where as a ball joint generally has a boot to keep them clean. thats about it in a nutshell. but heim joints offer a greater range of motion over ball joints
