built a sweet tie rod cheap

After my Kabooom in Azusa I started doing some maintenance. Ive been running my stock TRE's and finally replaced them..... well in the process i destroyed my big daddy tie rod. I sheared the TRE in half with 70 percent of the threads still in the tie rod....

Sooooo Jason and I built this. 11/4" 4130 chormoly. .120 wall. all tig welded McKenzies supplied the threaded sleaves that the TRE's thread into. grabbed some jam nuts and kabooom here she is.

here she is all pretty and installed
