Bumpers I built for my 98 TJ

This is my 98 TJ bought in August 09. Pulled the front bumper off and went to work on the new one. Was a fun project. Next project was the back bumper.

My 98 TJ back bumper build & finish

This is where I'm almost finished with the back bumper. Set trailer ball receiver cut in the middle of the bumper 4"x3/16 tubing. [[/IMG]Frame attachments were copied and cut with a plasma torch. The finished project including 2" lift.

Good job, looks like something that I'd spend $500 on

Just curious, What are those D rings made out of? they seem kinda tiny compared to the forces that they might have to endure

Thanks for the compliment They are forged steel (I think that's the word) It's a solid ring and the package said they were rated at 10,000# each. I find that hard to believe but I'm pretty sure they are tough enough to pull me or somebody else out without breaking. (as long as it wasn't vertical).
