Can someone please confirm or correct me?

My '91 YJ currently is running on 35s with Dana 30 and 35, 3.55 gears and SOA. I just picked up a ford 8.8 with 4.56 gears and a Detroit tru Trac with only 20k miles on the gears and Tru Trac for a very good price. My shackles are +2. When I swap out the rear, I should change the rear shackles to +1 to keep me level right? Thanks for the help.

Depends on your spring sag. Great find on that axle, gear, posi unit! That ratio will really help reclaim some of your power lost to the big tires.

My springs really don't have any sag right now. The tub is sitting level right now. I guess I want to know if I should use a shorter shackle to keep me level after swapping a Dana 35 SOA to a Ford 8.8 SOA? I would like to remain as level as possible. Thanks again

You're only going to gain 3/8" height due to the axle tube. So, providing your new perches aren't taller than the existing perches on the 35, it shouldn't be a problem.
