Deck Baskets

Hey everyone. I have many other builds on other forums but i thought I would post my most recent build on this forum first. I recently built a pair of deck baskets for mine and my friends JK. Here is a small write-up and a few pics. Not going to go into great details here, you should be able to get the idea from the pics. Oh, and the date is wrong on the camera also..lol.

I made this baskets for my friends JK to give him some usable space and to prevent theives from stealing his sub box. The basket is supported on a metal frame that prevents the box from being removed.

All welded up and ready for paint:

Painted and testing fit and getting placement for the frame:

Installed above his speaker box:

Ok for my JK I wanted a box that I could put my amp and Sub in and have two sides for trail stuff and a drawer in the bottom for my rifle. It had to have a lid and support a basket when completed.

The beginning of the box:

Here you can see what it will look like and you can see that I stared the extra side pieces that will make the entire rear deck:

Rear deck completed and carpeted:

Basket welded and starting to get paint:

Installed:

Welp, there ya have it folks. Both these baskets are big enough for the smaller adventure totes. More pics later.

real clean and looks good. Is that box protected in any way where water won't warp it and mess it up?

I used to think pot heads were the most creative people on the planet. Now gotta say Jeepers.
Although pot smokers could make a bong out of a Jeep, could a Jeeper make a Jeep out of a bong? I think maybe so. Lift it and put 35's on.

Nice job Rut, looks outstanding!!

Just so we all know my basket was made 1st and 1st is always better then second LOL. Thanks for everything bro love the basket. Before and After pics. Before it just had the stock lift with 17" Motto Metal wheels and 33 Cooper STT. And AFTER hanging around with my buddy the Jk went to 35 and Eagle wheels and 2.5 lift by Teraflex springs and shocks love how it rides and no issues yet to report will see how it does off-road.

It's been sealed with thompsons water seal; however, I don't plan on getting water in or on anything "inside" my Jeep. I'm hardcore, but not that hardcore..
