dimensions for bumper mount on JK

I am looking for the dimensions of the 4 bolt holes on the frame horns that the bumper mount to on the JK. in preparation of making two brackets for mounting custom bumper and matching brackets for outside to attach the shackle point to. Without taking my bumper off if anyone has theirs in disassembled condition or aftermarket installed with visible bolt heads please measure and post. Thanks

5.25 side to side, 2.5 top to bottom. I measured my factory tow hook bolts.. Approx 25" on center for inner bolt hole from frame rail to frame rail. Approx 5.75 on diagonal.

Edit; all I have here to measure was a tape measure.. My calipers are at work. If your close you can have my factory to use for a template.

Thanks Phobos, I was looking for this exact information for couple weeks now. I am going to be mounting JK SRC front bumper on to my TJ. This is a big help.
Thanks,

Nice

Nice diagram!

Thanks for the dimensions. Makes me want to draw up the TJ front and rear the same way.

Do have the dimensions for the JK rear as well????

No...haven't found the rear yet. And I should say I haven't confirmed those front dim's yet myself but it was from a DIY bumper build thread.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll keep that in mind.

Can you post back if/whem you confirm the measurements?

Would like to build some adapters that are usable for real use not for looks.

Will do. Just read on another forum that the top bolt spacing may be 1/4" wider than the bottom. Have a buddy w/ an ACE stubby front where the bolt heads are exposed so I'll see if he can grab me the two dim's.

I had to look for a while...but this has been covered in another thread. They found the top holes to be slightly wider than the bottom holes.

Here's the link.

Hope it helps.

Excellent find! Being that the OEM CAD is all metric that works out to 136mm top, 132mm bottom, and 64mm top to bottom.

JK on TJ

I decided not to do it cause it would not allow me to mount a winch. If I didnt care about winch it would of not been to difficult.
