Doorless foot-rest insert?

When I ride without doors I like to stick my foot out the door, I have some running boards but their to low. I noticed that the bottom hole for the doors was just about the perfect height. Ive seen somewhere on here where someone made some inserts and I was wondering if anyone knew how to make some? Thanks guys!!

I have a couple of foot rests from my old motorcycle that just so happen to be perfect for bolting to that hinge spot.

TnDz - That is a cheap but great looking footrest. Here I was gonna get some rock sliders to put my foot on but I like that better.

Thanks...

I used a 3/8" bolt for the hinge pin.... used 1/2" rod for the main part of the rest bent at a 45 degree angle at the hinge. I fit 1" stock over the 1/2" rod for the main foot rest... coated with bedliner... done!
