^^^^I forgot to add to my last post that I also have a beefy spare tire carrier that mounts to my rear bumper. You can see the post spindle for it on the right side of the rear bumper. I just removed it while doing this mod to keep it out of the way. Plus, it's heavy and I was taking the bumper off and on to get it mounted. In fact, the spare and the carrier are both sitting in my garage at the moment. I won't bother mounting them until I feel the need.

Hi cavediverjc i wanted to see how your tailgate is holding up and do you still have just the one normal tj latch? I got the cj tailgate hinges and am about to order the cable and whatnot just wanted to see if its worth continuing

i too would like to know how this is holding up. have you tried over your body weight alone and is it still going strong?
