Finished with my tire carrier

I have finally finished, except to rhino line it. The frame tie-in is from rokmen, the latch is from mcmaster-carr and the hinge is from rockstomper.com. The bumper is 5in channel, with 1/2in spacers for the mounting bracket. Comments are welcome.

How well does that tailgate work with only one hinge?

Since its not load bearing its not that big of a issue. I think I'm going to try to make a truck tailgate with it.

Nice job. Any rattles with that latch set up? What size diameter is the hinge where it goes through the bumper and what size bearings does it use? I have one of these planned for future.

I you cap off the end of the carrier you won't have to worry about any rust getting built up in there. That's what I did.

I got the hinge from rockstomper.com, its about 70 bucks but well worth it. As far as specifics about the hinge I'm not sure, they have all the info on the web site. Rattling isn't to bad. The latch is very tight, keeps it nice and secure
