This is my first time attempting this so hopefully they turn out nice. There made out of 3/16s. I would of loved to make them one piece but without a brake it's a nightmare..the bends were hard enough.

Lookin' good! You have some serious under-body coverage there.

I am seriously considering building some of my own in a mini-boatside design. We have a huge brake at work that can probably brake both sides at the same time.

Thanks..the bottom still needs to be trimmed so it's not a big square.I'm anxious to start the other side.

Your right about those spacers.they stick out like a soar thumb. I need a sye.little at a time I guess.

Noticed in your profile that you are in california, Wish you would have posted something beforehand as I have a 300 ton 14' press brake and would have bent them for you. 14' 1/4" shear as well.

Next time.

Bring it all down as I can bend it, cut it, weld it, and with my iron worker I can punch it (holes up to 1 1/8" thru 5/8" material).

Can you post a pic of the weld along the seam where it is 90% I want to see how you welded it? And what length did you make yours?

Thinking of making my own for my LJ any advice you can give me would be awesome.... Thx in advance....

When i get off of work ill take some pics for ya.i ran a bead from one end to the other on the inside and outside.grinded down the outside so it looks like one piece.using a brake is a lot more time efficient and and cost effective.unfortunately i don't have one so i made it work.on the length i just went from fender to fender.i mocked them the other night and drilled holes on driver side.instead of small flush bolts i used big 1/2" grade 8 bolts.give it a beefy look.still have more to do but getting excited.

Ahhh mabey 80 bucks..i think a 100 bucks to be done with them both.i wish i had more time. I would have loved to make 4 or 5 sets. There very basic..3/16s main slider, 1 3/4 .120 wall dom tubing, 1/8th inch plate on top of tubing. Grade 8 bolts.
