Looks good. I have a question. The two front pieces sticking out from your bottom drawing. Are they designed for a purpose or looks? I would think they would be "knee knockers" unless they're designed for a purpose.
I built two front bumpers (one for my 98TJ and 1 for my 08 JK). I used 4x4x3/8 tubing and they were I believe a little wider than yours and wonder if turning the outside edges into the tires then the bumper should be a little wider.
Just my thoughts.
This is one for the TJ.
I'm not sure of the measurements because I built them last year.
If you have the facilities to build your bumper try the design and if you don't like it you'll know how to change it or redo it. The front bumper on the JK is the second build because after the first one was installed I didn't like it and went back to the shop and wound up with the one that you see pictured.
and this is the JK.
Good luck with your build and if you need any measurements that I have I'll measure them and get them to you.
The tools at my disposal for fabbing this up are: angle grinder, chop saw, welder and ingenuity, I know somebody that can bend me the tube so that will be the only thing that i will not do.
all the angles on the cuts are 15, 30, 45, and 90 degrees nothing weird......so do you think this is feasible??
So any ideas on the bumper? Any thing that you would do different?
