Front Window Mod?

Hey everyone! I have an idea and want to know if anyone has done it before. I have a soft top TJ and my passenger side window has torn in the cold. The same thing happened to my driverside a year ago and I replaced it. This loks like it may be a trend and I want to stop it as soon as possible. I see the sliders they sell and they look like something I would like but I don't want to spend the money for them. Has anyone ever made them or something like them?

I have never made any, but had a set originally and didnt like them. Always felt like I was going to be getting a big mack meal handed through to me every time I opened the window...

You could probably just use plexiglass. But it will be kinda noisy

Thanks for the replies and ideas. I may just look around for some full doors. Not sure yet.
