full width Dana 60's

So I have been planning my 60 swap for my LJ to get her up on 40s. I think im going to run full width and just have custom wheels made with negative 4 inch backspacing on them.

They should run only close to two inches wider than stock.

Any thoughts on this?

Not sure on how much lift you will be running, but being a bit wider might help with the 40's, vs being close to stock width.

As low as I can...

My only width limitations are the steel coloms at the trail heads.

Personally I love full width. Stance is great and keeps COG very in-check.

Only sucky part is that I had to get a new trailer to accommodate the new ride. Right now I'm 89" wide...

Keep in mind with your back spacing that you don't want the front hubs to protrude out further than the lip of the rims or beadlock ring if you go that route. I've seen several people catch the hubs on rocks and crack them open.
