Gas can carrier

Looking for pics and ways to design a gas can carrier mount for the tailgate of my TJ. I have a 3 gallon gas can and would like to mount it to my tailgate. Thanks.

3 gal as in plastic? Seems to me you'd rub lots of holes in it by all the giggiling it would get.

See if you can find some pre-CARB-banned plastic Scepter military fuel cans. They're the last gas cans you'll ever have to buy. You may need to do the Viton gasket mod, since the factory gaskets are for diesel.

heres more info.

If you can't find those, people seem to like the steel military style fuel cans. I've had one, and I gave it away after I saw what a POS it was compared to the plastic Scepter cans I described above.
