have a couple questions concerning my chevy swap

im in the middle of a engine swap in my YJ. and im going a total chevy drivetrain...motor/trans/t-case. my questions are: do i keep the jeep computer for all the electrical that is still jeep? can i cut out the stuff im not keeping jeep? i had a np231?...and it has four vacuum lines coming out of the case, where on the chevy np241 it has and electrical connection. what do i need to do to make the chevy np241 work? I will be changing axles in the future but not right now. the 350 is not computer controlled, and im swapping to a th400. If i understand the vac situation correct the vac lines from the t-case run to the canister and the front axle. this is for the limited slip right? so if the chevy wont plug in to the vac lines all i loose is the slip fork right? i can live w/ that if thats the case cuz i will get air lockers. any help about this would be most appreciated due to i only have 2 months to complete everything, then the jeep needs to be rolling.---THANKS!!!!

first thing is the yj has an axle disconect that has nothing to do with limited slips or locker and even an open diff, the slip fork locks the 2piece axle shaft togather. to eliminate the vacumes going to it, go here and get this Rustys Offroad: 4x4 Posi-Lok Perm-Lok it basicaly changes your yj front end to be configured like a tj with a non disconecting front axle. this will give you piece of mind knowing that when your shift lever is in 4wd you are really in 4wd. now to your t-case did the truck with the 241 have a solid axle or ifs if it was the ifs the wires were for acctuating the front diff your not going to need that becaus your going to get the perm lok for your axle.

it will behave just like a tj. in fact my 98 dodge ram has a dana44 and disconnect and i hate how it pops when it lets go tj just goes unnoticed. my best answer for the wiring is to call painless wiring and ask them, wiring is too complicated to explane like this. they can hook you up with what you need, just tell them what you have and what you want to do and they will make a harness for your application.
