that SUCKS, this is by far my favorite build ive been watching it for a while and drool every time i look at it!, ive had a few cars with salavaged titles and they werent a problem, dont think your going to be driving this as a daily so dont think it would matter to much (altho it does suck) ive never had a problem selling a car with a salvaged title, my last one was a 93 volvo GLT i bought for 1200 with the salvaged title, sold it a year later for $4000 lol

Awesome build, I love the xfi as I had in my drag car. Be sure to upgrade the software to 2.1 or the latest, I think its 50 bucks but worth it. The only issue I can see is the fuel pump. Be sure to either use the controller OR make the pump lower than the tank so gravity feeds the pump, so it doesn't have to pull the fuel. When it fails look at getting a walboro GLS 392, cheap and best external pump their is or a bosh 044.

Sick build, I want to get a old yj or tj and throw a 383 in it. How do you guys correct pinion angle with being on leaf springs?

Thanks man unfortunatly I did the upgrade and lost my tune completely. Fast said it happens to a very small number of upgrades but my laptop that had the tune saved on it is dead and gone so she's goin back on the dyno. I did upgrade the fuel to a big weldon pump works so much better and doesn't sound like a grinder like the aeromotive. Don't go too far on the motor 300hp is enough I've pulled the front end off the ground a few times when I didn't want to, this motor belongs in a drag car.

If you want to correct pinion angle get new spring perches from ruffstuffspecialties.com torch the old ones off and weld new ones on, only way to do it if you plan on having big power.

I see what you mean. The tub that was slated for my build was a little to rusted up. My girl said to take the 03 tub since we had a complete drivetrain to build mine since she didn't want a radical motor. She wants the new 5.0 coyote great power but won't get squirrely leaving every red light like mine. Searching for a good tub for her now. Did get totalled out invthe hurricane but replaced the computer, ignition, top, and injectors. Running but needs to be fine tuned on a chassis dyno. Got 5700 from insurance for it even though there's over 30k with receipts I added aftermarket coverage now.

Here's the crude beginning of a bumper. It's 3/16 aluminum the sides are tacked on at 35*. It's just taped to the frame to get a look at it, the middle is going to have 2 kc daylighters recessed in it. Also planned on a stinger with grill hoop. Any thoughts? I'm not very happy with it just yet.

Here's the grille I'm using to R&D the Rad support it was scratched when I got it so not worried about the paint. The lights are warnsdb-210 dual beam , switchable between driving and spot so that will reduce the # of lights needed since in spot mode there better then warns hid lights.

I just found this thread. I have read all six pages. It has taken 10 mos. to completely build my YJ in a new insulated shop with unlimited tools and you have accomplished this outside in the winter! My hats off to you!!!!. Rock on!!! I tried to insure my '94yj for 15K. State Farm laughed. Said 4500.00 max. INsurance people suck. I have that and more in the motor. 355 13:1 double humpheads, 3/4cam, eliminator intake. I already had the motor from road racing, just freshened it up. Wish I had gone FI. Really enjoying the build.
