Home Brew 3rd Brake Light

After installing my LoD rear bumper/tire carrier, I needed a new 3rd brake light. Quadratec had a cool one that mounts in the 5th spare. But they wanted $17.99 plus shipping. Once again, the Macgyver in me came out and said (like it has so many times before) "i can MAKE that!"

Ran down to the parts store, picked up a round/red LED setup for $2.59. Rummaged through my parts bin and found an old plastic center cap and started cutting & fitting. Wired it up using the stock wiring from the original taillight, and in about 20 minutes, I was done.

What can I say, I'm cheap. I'd rather spend money on the "real" mods!

THAT'S what I'm talking about! Hey, time/money well spent (and not wasted) right? Now, take that second LED, make another one for someone else here, and trade 'em for something you need!
