How Difficuilt is it to Rebuild an AX15

Ive never done a manual trans before. Havent done an auto either. I did a dana 20 and have my dana 300 all over the bench but its not over my head.
My question is, how intense is the rebuild? Any special tools needed? I have a decent tool box and a press. Is there alot of shimming? Any pointers from people who have done the rebuild would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance!

I bought the rebuild kit on ebay. I'm ready to go. Just trying one more time to see if anyone could give me a few pointers.
Last post I promise!

Sorry, no advice I can offer, but if you post pics and tell us how it goes maybe it'll help someone else down the line! Good luck.

a good pdf file and/or on site photos as you disassemble can be of great help.

I rebuilt a much simpler worm gear drive tranny for an old "Chore Master" that way. It took both the actual illustrations AND my own photos but it came out working fine. Good luck.
