I can't get in my Jeep!

Hello guys and girls!

I just recently injured my knee. I tore my ACL, Lateral and Medial Meniscus, and Fractured my Femur. My wife has been totting me around back and fourth between work and school. It's not to horrible just annoying at times waiting for someone to come get me. I finaly broke down and decided. I have to figure out how to get in and out of my Jeep comfortably and safely. I came up with this idea and i drew it up in AutoCAD. I want it to connect to my Rock sliders. I also want it to be removable so when i go off roading it doesnt snag on anything. The piece im looking for is in the first pic. It needs to fit a 1 1/2 pipe. The steps going to drop down about 10". My jeep is lifted quite a bit 6" suspension lift and has a 1 1/4" body lift with 35" tires. Its about 32" to the step. Quite the jump to get in there.

Has anyone seen a part like this? Where could i get it? Ive been doing quite a bit of research. But a "Saddle Clamp" is as close as i have gotten.

Anybody!! Help! i have surgery Wednesday! Thanks everyone!

I am not sure a clamp being used in that fasion would hold unless it was rediculously tight which would probably damage your sliders. a bolt or pin through the slider would probably suffice.

this looks like exactly what you need. not a bad price too.

How about, instead of Jeep down, ground up with a stool? I've seen folks get on horses in a similar manner. You could attach a rope to it and pull it in to go and then drop it to get out.

I've got a torn medial meniscus and that sucks pretty good. I know your knee is a lot worse! Good luck with the surgery!

I'd go with a small stool and a rope.

ever thought to use chains? i saw it on a mud truck once. bolt long enough chains so they sag low enough to step into then you just step in the jeep, you would need grab handles on the top of the roll bar though

Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have the second bar for that to rest up against. Thinking on something with that kind of hanger idea though!

But I don't know what you exactly call it but its got 3 grab locations! So were getting there! Sh said she going to make some other ones for the other side so she can get in to! thanks for the help guys
