Just a simple girl with a passion for jeeps. Soon to be college graduate with a degree in criminal justice. Always wanted a jeep, bought my first jeep in August 2010. I knew absolutely nothing about jeeps. Like, nothing. I gotta say I am pretty impressed with where I am now.

Jeep: 1997 2.5 jeep wrangler. Stock with the exception of wheels and aftermarket radio. 97,000 miles. $4500 dollars later it's all mine.

First is the day I got her home. My dad had to drive it home because it was a standard and I had no idea how to even drive it. Man that was awful watching my dad drive my jeep home after handing over MY cash :banghead:

Still have a long way to go and some projects in the process!

Some updated pics but its constantly changing. Two bottom pics is the jeep the day i got it and the other one is back when I had 33s

Current Set up:
4" skyjacker lift]
35" Dick cepek radial tires
15" D window wheels
Stinger, tire carrier
CAI
magnaflow muffler
upgraded speakers and head unit
smittybilt seat covers (hate)
DDM head lights with hella housings

Current projects and soon mods:
Yj full doors and yj hardtop
flat front fenders
full rear corner guards with flare
round led tailights

I was gonna get the jeep nobody cares like yours but I loved the dinosaur haha. That last one is hilarious. I love stickers but I try not to get crazy lol. I have a "built not bought" going up the side of my windshield panel and then the one by my door says "yours may go fast but mine can go anywhere". Then the classic take your top off lol

Hopefully I can get some work done on the light bar this weekend. I am making it out of a fence post from Home Depot. I already have it measure out, now I just need to do some cutting and then wiring it up. I really wanted it above my windshield but I am not really fond of drilling above my windshield..so for now it will go on my hood under the hi lift and if I don't like it then I can always take it off!

I caved today..bought some pocket flares. Whoops. I really needed them, but I could have waited until I finished my current projects or when my orders at least were delivered haha.. and I'm going to Florida thurs so I probably won't even be here when they come in. I got that damn jeep bug!

..where do you get the stickers of the stick family destruction?..
i need one of a 5 year old whooping another family..lol..
Hahah try eBay! I just searched something like "nobody cares about your stick figure family" and a lot came up. Good luck! That's funny

Very nice.

Do you remember who made the rocker guards you had in the earlier pics, prior to installing the rock rails?

I do not. A buddy of mine sold them too me. They were just diamond plate that bolted to the tub. Wasn't much protection underneath except for like 6 inches

I'm going to hold off on this project but I would like to do it eventually..I want flush mounted tail lights. Found a set for like 70 bucks with reverse built in them. Now, question is I would like to keep my corner guards on but they don't have a round hole for these lights, they just have 3 little holes for the stock tail light bolts..I suppose I could just cut a hole in these plastic corner guards but kind of afraid of things like the whole thing cracking. Suggestions? Or better yet, anybody do this?

So since I bought new flares I am going to take mine off this week. But Im debating if I should just throw them away or take them off, repaint and sell them. I'm not sure if someone would be interested because they are cut so they sorta give the flat fender look. Mhm

So I got my light switches today. My last switches were like rectangle so the hole that was cut into the switch bezel was to big for these lights except for one of them so now I have to order some oem switch bezels before I can complete it but I got one done and I wired the switches up. Heres a few pics

Got the holes cut for the lights on the bar. Tomorrow I have to go buy another set of lights because I only bought one set. It's coming along! I'll probably drill the holes tomorrow to mount it and then maybe get to some wiring. I'll have to see because my CAI will be here tomorrow

Note: I sanded it down after these pics so the cuts look a lot cleaner than they look here

well its definitely been a while since ive updated..i do most of my posting on jeepforum..but its blocked at work but wranglerforum isnt and I forgot i had this build here :)

-I got the jeep on 35s..love it, no big difference to me in power or what not than the 33s. But that might be because ive never been a big speed person and dont mind the limits the 35s put me at with speed. although I do take the highway everyday and can pass whenever I seem to want to.

-Got a tire carrier
-did some regular maintance, had to do the exhaust manifold gasket to get rid of the awful squeeling noise, put a new tailpipe and magnaflow muffler, o2 sensors, crankshaft position sensor, brakes. The biggest thing that happened with repairs was my lower control arm bracket ripped right off my axle..had weeks of death wobble prior and apparently due to loose cam bolt because after welding on some nice stronger brackets, no more wobble.
-New kenwood stereo and larger speakers in soundbar and dash.
-seat covers. Ive had neoprene before and although they faded, they at least faded together..these shitty coverking ones have faded at all different speeds and are now half pink and half orange.

heres some pics!

I also obviously added the flat flares, huge improvement over the pocket flares.

current projects include headlights: ordered the hella ecode housings and HID bulbs from DDM. Just waiting on the bulbs to get here then install!

bought a yj hardtop for 100 bucks already cut to fit a tj. Needs to be repainted, thatll probably happen next month, no rush because its not going on till fall. Also bought yj full doors for 100 bucks, kid actually gave me 2 sets for 100. 25 bucks a door lol. Selling the other 2 for 100, keeping one set and repainting and replacing all door latches. I will then tint all the new glass :)

what do i do about exceeding picture limit? :9lame:

The flag really should be going the other way. You currently have it in retreat. The flag should NEVER retreat.

I have enjoyed this thread and look forward to seeing your continued progress. :)

my f150 has been taking up some time too. That build is coming along nicely. putting in a 3 inch lift tomorrow. I still have my yj door project and hardtop to finish. The weather is still warm so it hasnt been a high priority but it will be done this month. Have all new hardware for doors, just need to paint!

After feeling some guilt for spending the last month and a half building the truck, now sitting on 3 inch lift and 35s (couldnt resist, 33s looked to small).. I decided to spend some money on the jeep. So, after years of wanting to do this, i have palced my order!
