Hey I’m looking to either trim the bulky stock bumper or just take the bulky piece of plastic off. Any suggestion? and if at all possible can you guys post some pics if you have done this..
Thanks

I just removed the BUmper on My JK and replaced it with one I had built. (there are pics on here somewhere or I can repost).

The bumper was super easy to remove. The whole thing took like 20 min.

Sitting next to one of the front wheels look at the back of the bumper and you'll see two bolts on each side of the jeep. (two on Driver's side/ Two on Pass side) Remove these and the plastic "milk jug" part comes off of the metal strip which actually acts as the bumper. A ratchet/socket is all you'll need.
There are 8 bolts holding the metal bumper on to the frame members. The bolts themselves have like a dual washer thing so that they come off in pairs. The only PITA about this part is that you have to reach behind the metal bumper to ratchet off the nuts, and there isn't much knuckle room.
After you remove those 8 bolts- Bumper falls off.

I was a little surprised at how easily that whole assembly came off
