Okay.

I was trying to get a better look at them. I'll see what I can pull up on Google.

I know it's a little late for this build Always Stuck, but if you ever need any parts cheaply check out Jeeps Unlimited on ebay (alljeepparts401 items - Get great deals on Body Doors, Tail Gate, Hatch, Body Doors, Mouldings, etc. items on eBay Stores!). They're down in Providence, I just picked up a full set of fenders from them for $6. They were penny auctions that I actually won for a penny. They ding you for $3 handling on items under $10 that you pick up but you really can't beat it.

That's a pretty nice site. I'll have to keep my eye on it to see what pops up.

Yup. I'm going to wire in my tail lights. Throw a new alternator and battery in. Hook up the A/C and get the radiator mounted. Hopefully my tires show up tomorrow. If so I'll get those put on.

Just another day in paradise.

I can't wait till it's done some I can tip it over.

Called today. Tires are in. I'll have them mounted tomorrow. I'm going to start slow on the pics. Maybe just half a tire. I don't need BLAGAN going into shock.

So I'm sitting around reading some post. I come across one that say's to bring the color back to faded plastic, just hit it with a heat gun.

My half doors had a dark grey panel on them. The bottom looks good, but as you get to the top were the sun beats on them all day they looked like a faded light grey. They were pretty bad. I figured I was going to throw them out, so why not give it a try.

IT WORKS......

You have to be careful not to heat it to fast or the color comes up and looks like a puddle of wet dark grey paint. I started on high heat, just to get them warm. Then put it on low heat and kept going back and forth. They look good. I don't have before pictures. But I'll put some pics up when I get to work tomorrow of them now.

The interior should be in by Friday. I'll try to get the installed. Couple of things to finish up and I should be good to go. It's getting very close.

LMAO....I'm just giving you a hard time. Did you notice the (e) being bold and underlined.

Thank You for the compliment BLEGAN.

Here's what I need to finish now.

I need to figure out what I'm running for fender flares and get them in for next week.

Get my interior for this weekend and paint the inside of the doors black. Snap the grey panels back on.

Steels on the way for my rear bumper and tire carrier. Should be there tomorrow. Rear bumper for now. Tire carrier on a rainy weekend.

Set my drive shaft angle and get the rear shocks on.

Install a radio. That should be here this week. JVC KD-R900

Bikini top

Here's some other things I'll do once it's on the road.

6 Speaker sound bar. I have a 2 speaker now.
Front bumper and winch.
Bigger rear drive shaft and u-joints.
Roll bar pads.
Center console
I'm sure I'm missing allot. After all there never finished.

Did you ever find those fender flares? I guess I might have imagined it in my mind, but I'm sure that I saw them somewhere. Why not just go with the stock flares? You might be able to get them for real cheap, and that could hold you off until you decide later what you want.

I never found them.

I'll get something on there for now.

I threw the stock flares out. Plus I don't need the cops stopping me. The tires hang out 9 inches beyond the fender, so with the stock flares I don't think it would be long before I'm on the side of the road talking with the boys in blue.

I'll find something. I'm still looking around.

Look at the picture of those flares. They are mounted on a YJ. I believe you can put later model stock flares on a YJ with a little fender modification. The guy with the red YJ must have done that to fit the aftermarket ones. May be more trouble than you want to go through, but thought I'd point it out. Wheels look great mounted. Better get those steps made before the wife stops by the shop and sees how tall it is now! Oh, my 18 year old daughter loves the blue color...and she wants 33's!

I can buy the flat fenders. There made by Xenon. But after reading the reviews I'm a little skeptical. There was allot of complaints on them sagging.

The Bushwacker flat fenders had great reviews, but they only fit the TJ's. I'm sure I could fit them to my YJ, but that would be one more thing on my list. Springs here I want it on the road. I'll deal with fenders later, but If they would fit my YJ they would already be on there. So I'm just going throw a set of bushwackers cut out style on and see if I can deal with the bolt holes showing.

I had my wife there last night trying to get in the jeep. Not happening, but it was funny to watch. I had her put her foot up to were she would need a step. Turns out the bars on the red jeep would be perfect and I like the look.

Tell your daughter thank you for the compliment on the blue and come on dad every 18 year old girl needs a set on 33's what are you thinking. Hell it's only money.

Always Stuck, wow, great job! You'll be the first person I thank when I'm done with my 92. But not to get picky, but why the older role bars, and what V8 were you thinking about dropping in? So far I've seen a 302 and a 350.

Thanks for the great job. It's appreciated.

I have always liked the look of the old style roll bar.(I'm a CJ fan for life) I have the family friendly bar that came with it. Most of my driving will be back roads and wheeling. Keep in mind it's a weekend ride, not a daily driver. It's for the days my wife or myself don't feel like taking the Harley out.

I have a 5.3 Chevy that I'm thinking about putting in this winter. I want to end up with 450 to 500HP. (That should get the job done.) I'm looking around for a 6 speed short throw shifter for it. I know Vett makes the trany, I just haven't looked to see if it will hook up to my motor yet. I'll start checking that out this summer. If it doesn't mesh I'll strip a Vett and drop it in. I have a program that let's me remap the computer from scratch so I can tune it.

Did you start your 92 yet?
