Slow down and trying to work on a bit of a stitch or cursive e pattern. Pay attention to your electrode angle and keep a tight arc. You'll get better with practice.

I should have taken some pics the other day. I had to build up a tooth shank on a 45k# excavator with a 110 mig welder. It was almost comical.

Mine are ugly, I post them anyway.
Long as you can take some constructive criticism it's only going to make you better.

Exactly. None of us were born with the ability to weld. We all had to start somewhere. Mine are nowhere near where I want them to be but it is one of those things that I try to improve upon each and every time I flip on the welder.

Mike.

I agree. I am actually proud of my welds for the little time I have behind the helmet. I will be doing some welding this weekend, as early as tonight actually, so I will post some of it for critique.

Front bumper with shackle reversal home built, just one of the many things I fabbed for my YJ.
Miller 250 Classic, .035 wire with Unimix.
I also have a Millermatic 130 that is great for 1/4" or less and especially sheetmetal/exhaust work.

The inside was fine but this is scrap so I choose to attempt to weld it anyway. Bad idea.

Here's some welds on the cvt snorkle for my grizzly.

Here's my rad relocate/cvt and intake snorkle on my grizzly.

And a glamour shot of my scale jeep. I welded up custom suspension mounts on it.
