Lift kit installation

Hey everyone, I'm a Newb when it comes to my JK. I want a lift kit, but don't really want to pay someone. I'd rather do it myself so I can learn how to make adjustments or fix things later. How difficult is it to install a 2 inch kit yourself? What kind of tools would I need? Thanks in advance.

Most 2 inch lift kits are really simple to do as long as you have a decent set of basic hand tools, wrenches and sockets, as well as some good tall jack stands and jack. Don't forget to chock the wheels and a buddy helping is not a bad idea either. Just follow the instructions closely and not skip any steps. Are you going with a budget boost or spring lift?

More than likely a spring suspension. Was looking at either Skyjacker or Rough Country 2 or 2.5 inch lifts.
