One day I seen something on here about lifting your rear seat and was thinking about doing it but for the life of me I can't find it. I was hoping that someone could tell me where to find it or just tell me how to do it
If I was to raise the rear seat to put a drawer under I would measure the length from the front of the seat to the back. I would determine the height I would want to raise the seat or make the drawer. Then build 2 solid mounts the length of the seat with the correct amount of height that you wanted. Personally I would reuse the stock mounts and move the bar that locks the seat up to meet. Install some drawer tracks in the mounts you made and add a drawer. Make the mounts wide enough that you can run the new seat mounting bolts through holes you put in the mount back into the stock mount location. Just don't forget about headroom if you do this.
It's ok I don't sit back there haha. I just want to lift it a lil and make a long drawer kinda like a tool box drawer and make it so it locks. I'm just got to measure everything and throw it on CAD and go from there
I was thinking something like this But with ballbearing so it slides well and a lock. this was just off the top of the head on autodesk inventor at work. I had to take a pic with my phone cuz I don't think I could upload .dwg or .ipt prints on here. Been working really hard today
how are you going to do the seat belt buckles. Retach them to a sturdy frame or have a cutout in the drawer. Looking at doing something similar, but the seat belts threw me for a loop and definetly want to keep it safe for my son to ride back there.
