Currently I dont have them on but I have them in the house. I'm going to use some clear led side markers. I just need to paint the chrome mounting base black, wire them up and mount them on the rear bumper.

I like it, and it's a pretty good price as well.

Thought about it more and i could put the money for the bumper into the v8 swap. Kind of have to I have this gut feeling the 2.5 is going to blow reallllll soon and if it doesnt the 3speed auto will haha. Ill run it into the ground and step up to the big guns

And for the money they want for bumpers, you can buy a tubing bender and make all your own

Thats the other thing i was thinking haha i plan on staying with what i have for a rear and just adding frame tie ins and some d-ring shackles. Drop the tank weld in the mounts on both sides and on the back weld it to some stock to reinforce them so they wont go anywhere.

If ya buy one, get a JD2 manual bender....then all it takes is a air over hydraulic cylinder to make it hydraulic

Might order a high performance rebuild kit for the 700r4 today or tomorrow now too. Its almost time to put the V8 and new transmission in it!

Yeehaw! Havent worked on the jeep to much lately. But two days ago I did get a chance to refinish my rims . Lets do a write up!

Step one remove wheels and start sanding off all the corrosion and loose clearcoat/paint.

In the process of sanding

After the sanding its time to prep the wheels by taping off the tire and using a prep wipe to remove contaniments followed by a tack cloth then your ready for the primer.

Next its time to prime. I used the reddish primer from duplicolor so I could see if i covered the whole wheel with the gunmetal wheel coating from duplicolor.

Apply the paint in light even coats to avoid drip marks. After the wheels were primed I sanded the primer. Prep wiped and tack clothed then shot the wheel coating. After the wheel coating i used duplicolors clear wheel coating to give it a long lasting glossy finish and heres the finished product

I say go for it 2 cans of primer 2 cans of the wheel coating and one can of the clear wheel coat. Do the proper prep work and it will come out fine.

Well. Going to go ahead and take off the grill this weekend and paint it the same color I did the rims in. I was inspired by some JK guys. Thinking of cutting the fenders up into flatties maybe tomorrow. What do you guys think?

Rims look good, nice work! I'd leave the flares like they are....no need to be flinging extra debris for no reason. JMO

Well uhhh theres a major change of plans with this weekends work to the jeep. I got a call from my recruiter and had a opportunity to ship out to bootcamp this week. I jumped on it so the build is going to be on pause for 22 weeks. But when I get back itll be kicked into overdrive and become a monster.

Nice. I am starting a 95 also. I just did a tub swap because mine was wrecked. Lots of stuff to go. I will end up removing my spare because once i lift and do tires i don't think it will fit back there. lol. btw, i like the tails and want to do something similiar.

Nice Jeep. I like what you're doing with it. Those round tailights are cool.
Are you going to carry a spare anymore?

Thanks for your service. Be careful so you can come home & work on your Jeep some more.
